These adapted fitness sessions are brought to you free of charge by The Brookman Foundation, Aimee's Place Selby & TA Online Coaching.
Adapted Fitness Sessions are friendly, weekly gym class style sessions designed for people with disabilities, additional needs, or medical conditions. Run in partnership with Aimee's Place Selby and TA Online Coaching, each session is fully adapted so that everyone, regardless of ability, can take part, build strength, and improve their fitness in a safe, supportive environment.
Sessions are delivered by an NHS referrals-qualified Level 3 Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach, who holds full insurance and accreditations in an accessible private fitness studio space. Every exercise can be tailored to individual needs, so whether you're working on mobility, strength, confidence, or general wellbeing, you'll get a session that works for you.
Beyond the physical benefits, our sessions offer a welcoming space to socialise, meet new people, and be part of a community, all completely free of charge, thanks to our amazing partners.

Every Adapted Fitness Session is accessible from the car park right through to each activity.
Parking
There are no designated disabled parking bays at this venue, but there is plenty of free, unmarked parking available. We ask members to leave a generous amount of space around their vehicle to ensure access is maintained for wheelchair users.

The venue is fully accessible from the car park to the entrance. The entrance has French doors with a minimal bump to enter.

The space is open-plan and easy to navigate, with a standard accessible toilet available on-site.

Not at all. Sessions are designed for every fitness level, and exercises are adapted to you, not the other way round.
Sessions are 1hr long and consist of a variety of gym related activities. Full warmup & cooldowns are included for participant safety. Sessions are uniquely tailored to support every person's ability.
Comfortable clothing you can move in, suitable footwear, and a water bottle, Wheelchair/mobility Aids, Medication & Emergency medication. All Gym equipment is provided.

No problem at all! We understand life happens, especially with medical conditions & disabilites! There's no obligation to attend every week. If you can, let us know via Spond so we know to expect you another time. Arriving late is fine; just come in and join us.

Our PT is a qualified Level 3 Personal Trainer with full insurance and accreditations, and sessions are run with safety front of mind. Our Staff are also first aid trained. If something comes up, we'll pause, adapt the activity, or get you the support you need. Please do tell us about any relevant medical conditions when you sign up, so we can plan around them.
